Many consumers are shunning modern mass production methods and lifestyle choices and going back to basics. This trend includes food (artisan bakeries, organic produce and local sourcing), beauty (natural and organic products) and leisure activities (it’s now cool to camp). This reaction to technological change and a partial distrust of science and mass production mean “new, faster, better” can be the wrong message.

Motorola created a new intelligent writing system on the A732 phone but found general users were afraid of this intuitive technology. MindShare had to show urban adults that it was easy and fun to use.
